London is the Place for Me

The intention of this project is to explore the experiences of various family members, relatives and family friends of the Windrush generation and following generations, who moved to the UK from the Caribbean between the 1950s and the 2000s. The photographs show some of the Windrush generation, one holding the passport that she used to travel to this country, as well as some of the contributions that Black British people have made to society: a vicar, a musician and a teacher. There are family units and couples who are still very much in love and mothers bonding with their young children.
